Baptism course

Below, you will find the details for the baptism course that was arranged for the late spring, to prepare parents for the Summer Baptisms date.

At the moment, we have no idea whether it will be possible to keep to the original timetable, although this does currently seem unlikely.

However, we would ask parents who have a child for baptism, please to register in the usual way so that we have names and details and can get a course up and running as soon as possible, once the Covid-19 situation ends.

Contact the Baptism Catechists to register your interest in joining the next course.

The planned dates for the course were as follows (but may, obviously, need to change):

The registration Session for Saturday, 9th May is cancelled. It will be rescheduled when we are able to do so.

Only parents who have met with Fr Bernard and registered for the course will be able to join the course.

Each session starts promptly at 11am and finishes at 12.30pm. Sessions take place in the Parish Meeting Room in Stony Stratford. Parents are asked to arrive at least 10 minutes early, to ensure we start on time.

The course itself was scheduled to run on the following dates in the meeting room at St Mary Magdalene presbytery in Stony Stratford, from 11am to 12.30pm - it now seems likely that these dates will need to be changed:
23rd May
30th May
6th June
13th June
20th June
27th June

It is necessary to attend ALL sessions of the course, to proceed to the Sacrament of Baptism.

You will also need to do an Anchor Course in this Parish. Please register for the Anchor course by contacting the Anchor Team.
