England's re-dedication to Our Lady

In the year 1381, King Richard II dedicated England to Mary, as her dowry.

The Catholic Bishops' Conference of England and Wales has agreed to re-dedicate England to Our Lady on the Feast of the Annunciation this year (25th March).

They are encouraging Catholics to make a personal dedication to Our Lady on that date and recommend following a 33 day consecration programme, (such as one inspired by St Louis de Montfort), to finish on 25th March.

This will start on Friday, 21st February. Many parishioners will already have a booklet "33 day consecration to Jesus through Mary" inspired by St Louis de Montfort, as this is something we have done, as a parish, in the past. However, a few books are available from the Parish Office for those who do not have one, priced £2.95.
