November cemetery blessings

As usual, the Priests of the Parish will be blessing the four cemeteries which lie within our Parish, on the Saturdays of November, at 12 noon.

Dates and locations are as follows:

7th November: Calverton Road Cemetery

14th November: London Road Cemetery

21st November: New Bradwell Cemetery

28th November: Wolverton Cemetery

You are encouraged to come along and pray for your deceased friends, family and former fellow-parishioners who are buried in these cemeteries. To pray for the dead is one of the seven Spiritual Works of Mercy. Please do invite others to come along, who may have friends/relatives buried in these cemeteries and who might find some consolation in the blessing of the graves.

Please note that there are currently restrictions in place, limiting the number of people allowed around a grave. This is a maximum of 10. Please do not gather at the entrance to the cemetery as usual. Please go straight to the grave you wish to have blessed and wait there for the Priest to come to that grave. It is very important that you follow all guidelines currently in place in cemeteries, or you may find yourself subject to a fine ... and the remaining cemetery blessings in November might be forbidden. Many thanks for your understanding and co-operation with the unusual situation needed this year to safeguard and protect yourselves, and others.
